This was our first time here. The food is GREAT and the people are so nice and the conversation felt like family!! We will be returning! Just to think, I have passed this place numerous times, and missed this little gem.
The food was amazing! I ordered the chitterling dinner w/rice, lima beans, and potato salad. The meat was superclean and flavorful. The lima beans were soft and buttery. The potato salad had a sweet taste to it but wasn't bad. I also loved that the entire family was working- grandpa, kids, and a grandkid. I'm so glad we found this place

Came here specifically for the chitterlings, because they're almost impossible to find anywhere. They allowed me a sample & it was so tasty & clean I bought 2 containers (no rice). They usually serve over rice, so they were a salty. We also got a catfish dinner w/ greens & Mac & cheese & peach cobbler. Everything was excellent, including the service. Even the customers that came in were friendly... reminds me of being back in the south. We will definitely be back.

For this spot, I'd say don't judge a book by its cover. The blue exterior is contrasted by a clean, warm and welcoming interior. It's soul food at its finest. We had fried and grilled fish, shrimp, greens, cornbread and mac and cheese. Everything was seasoned well and very tasty. The portion size is so impressive, you may need a to go box. They even have a good selection of desserts that include chocolate, caramel, red velvet and pound cake. They also offer cobblers. The desserts didn't disappoint. If you're looking for soul food, this is the place to go. It's small and out of the way but worth the trip.
New & Improved merger with Divine Caribbean. The daily soup was finished so I received a complimentary cup of the Goat Head soup to try. It was delicious! Spicy, hearty and full of my favorite spinners. I ordered the Oxtail dinner with rice and peas, macaroni and cheese and collard greens. Hefty portion easily serves 2. Improvements in furnishings and decor would earn them the final, a fifth star.
